The United Kingdom has expanded its E-Visas system to include Pakistani travellers applying for visitor visas. According to a statement issued by the British High Commission, Pakistanis travelling to the UK will now receive electronic visa confirmation via email instead of a physical visa sticker in their passport.
Previously, in July 2025, the UK government introduced the e-visa system for Pakistani applicants, but it was limited to study and work visas. Those applying for general visitor visas were still required to obtain a physical visa sticker.

Under the updated system, applicants will continue to submit their visa applications online. They must still visit a visa application centre to provide biometric data, including fingerprints and photographs. However, once approved, the visa will be issued electronically.
The move is expected to make the visa process more convenient, secure, and efficient for Pakistani travellers visiting the UK for tourism and other short-term purposes.
