Sheikh Faisal Bin Abdul Malik Nauman, a senior muezzin of Masjid al-Nabawi in Madinah, has passed away after serving at one of Islam’s holiest sites for 25 years. His death has been met with deep sorrow by worshippers around the world who were touched by his voice and devotion.
Sheikh Faisal Nouman was appointed as a muezzin at Masjid al-Nabawi in 2001. Since then, he faithfully performed the noble duty of calling worshippers to prayer, becoming a familiar and respected figure in the Prophet’s Mosque. His final adhan was delivered on November 2, marking the end of a lifetime dedicated to spiritual service.

The funeral was attended by fellow scholars, mosque officials, and worshippers who gathered to pay their final respects.
Sheikh Faisal came from a family with a long tradition of muezzins at Masjid al-Nabawi. His grandfather and father both served in the same sacred role, continuing a legacy passed down through generations. Notably, his father began serving as a muezzin at the young age of 14, reflecting the family’s deep connection to the mosque.
Throughout his life, Sheikh Faisal was known for his humility, dedication, and spiritual commitment. His voice was a source of comfort and inspiration for millions of Muslims visiting or praying at Masjid al-Nabawi. Many remember him not only for his beautiful adhan but also for the sense of peace it brought to the hearts of listeners.
