Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has taken a significant step toward transforming the province’s education system with the launch of the Nawaz Sharif Centers of Eminence. This initiative introduces a network of zero-fee public schools across Punjab, designed to provide high-quality education to students from all backgrounds without charging any tuition fees. During a meeting to review the project’s progress, officials informed the chief minister that more than 71,000 students have already applied for admission to 65 centers. The Nawaz Sharif Centers of Eminence are being established in line with international education standards. These schools will be equipped with modern classrooms, advanced science laboratories, and dedicated STEM facilities to encourage innovation and scientific thinking among students. Sports infrastructure will also be provided to promote physical fitness and extracurricular development.
